St John's Choir members meet most Fridays in St John's Church from 7 to about 8pm to rehearse hymns and anthems for the following Sunday. For Holy Communion services the choir normally sings two hymns during communion, but occasionally sings an anthem instead of one of the hymns. New members in all voice parts (SATB) would be very welsome.

Celebrate the Harvest Season
When the church becomes a supper club for the evening with long tables laden with food & wine for all to come together, eat, laugh and celebrate the Harvest season.

6:00pm Bonfire and Firework display
Millenium Green, Charlton Horethorne
Nov 5th on the Millenium Green.
Doors open for the sale of barbecued burgers, hot dogs, soup, mulled wine, glow sticks, etc, from 6pm. Bonfire being lit at 6:45pm and the fireworks at 7:30pm.
Entry is free of charge but generous donations are requested to cover costs with surplus going to charity.

4:30pm The Christmas Lights official ‘switch on’

Come along and meet Santa and his Elves! This year you can pre book your time slot. We have a lot more stalls, great chance to start that Christmas shopping! Enjoy homemade mince pies, mulled wine & mini bar, festive treats, Wayne's BBQ, Christmas Crafts, Grand Raffle (top cash prize of £100), and much much more!
Come and join for a festive evening full of family fun. Church bells ringing at 4:30 to mark the start of our Light Switch On evening. Visit Church House for refreshments and buy your raffle tickets, the mini market outside of St John’s Church for festive treats and unique gifts and come inside the church to find Father Christmas and his elves in his grotto.
