This year we have decided to offer the Church of England’s "Draw Near: Life-giving habits for Lent", focusing on discipleship rhythms like prayer, Bible study, worship, and service, offering daily reflections and resources for individuals and groups to grow closer to God, especially around Easter.

We will gather on two occasions to discuss the course, firstly 3pm on Saturday 14th February (before Ash Wednesday) for tea, cakes and discussion.

Secondly at 3pm on Saturday 14th March also for tea, cakes and discussion. In between we will follow the course independently.

Books are available from Rev Rona (suggested donation of £5).

Building peace in our divided worlds

A one-day programme on Saturday 21st March 2026, 10am to 4pm

In our increasingly divided and polarised worlds, globally, nationally or closer to home, what does it take to live peaceably, with curiosity and understanding of those we call ‘them’?

Inspired by its remarkable stained glass windows, donated by a former German prisoner of war, as a token of peace and reconciliation, St Mary’s and the Diocese Peacebuilding Network are thrilled to welcome speakers Jo Berry CBE and Simon Keyes to this year’s ‘Peaceable living’ programme.
